Welcome to my life.
On Saturday, December 19th, I threw a secret santa party with my closest friends. In this blog post, I'll be referring to a person that will be brought up as Snape (why not), because using their real name would be ruder than what they did (probably not). So I was getting ready for my friends to come over for our little party. Anytime I'm with them is always a great time, so I was excited all day. I was especially excited, because I thought my secret Santa was our friend Chris, who's a bomb gift giver if there ever was one. I was so pumped. So about an hour before the party, I noticed that one of our friends, Snape, who said he was already coming, didn't answer when I double checked with everyone in our group chat that they were still coming, Snape didn't answer. I thought it was weird, since he already said he was coming, so I texted him privately. What answer did I get? Oh you know, some bullshit excuse that he couldn't come. I was freaking out. This wasn't only beyond rude that he didn't let me know in advance, but now someone wasn't gonna get a gift and the cycle would be screwed up! My sister already started frantically searching our storage room to find an old gift we could re-wrap and give to the person that didn't have one. We were't gonna let someone be the only one with out a present. That wouldn't be fair or nice. So then I texted Snape, asking him who he got so that we could know what type of gift to give them. I get a text saying, and I quote: "U." The angry tears streamed. I was so overwhelmed and EXTREMELY pissed off. I angrily took Snape number out of the group chat and let my thumbs go and rant to my REAL friends. They texted back immediately, agreeing how wrong and impolite Snape was. After letting things out a little bit, I regained my composer and got ready to be a good party host and put on the 'Jazzy Christmas' Spotify playlist. I needed to chill out. What happened when my amazing friends showed up to my house? Each of them brought me a gift. It was possibly the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me. Even my sister gave me a gift, one she was planning to give me on Christmas. When I opened them, I actually almost cried. My friends were all so sweet. The night was filled with painting, laughing, eating, music, and lots of love. I had the best time. It's experiences like this that show you who your real friends are. They turned a bad situation, into a really great night. I'm so grateful for them. My best friends always come in clutch, even an hour before the party. P.S. As for Snape, he missed out on a really great night. He'll never know though, because Snape will definitely not be invited back;) MERRY CHRISTMAS, HANUKKAH, KWANZAA, OR WHAT EVER YOU CELEBRATE. MAY YOU SURROUND YOURSELF WITH GREAT FRIENDS, FOOD, AND FAMILY. HAVE A GREAT HOLIDAY!Be apart of the conversation! Comment what you think!
