On Tuesday my friends and I went to the jersey shore for a beach day. We first went to the beach and the waves were amazing. High tide is my favorite, I just wished I had a boogie board. Even though I love the ocean, I'm the only person out of all my friends and hates tanning. Besides the fact that it's unhealthy, I guess I just don't like feeling the sun beat down on me because I get hot really fast. So basically what I do, is literally have a towel cover almost my whole body, which usually leads me to fall asleep. I know I'm a weirdo, lol. Whenever I get home from the beach (which again, I love), I always feel so gross and sandy and my hair always decides to defy gravity. I'm also always hungry, which means Wawa break. I seriously wish they had them in New York. We went to the boardwalk later and all go hennas.I get henna's every time I go to Seaside and I usually go to the same stand I always go to. I'm usually pretty happy with the way the people do mine, but this time it was pretty terrible. To start off, I asked for an arrow. I got a curvy line. Then I asked for the 5SOS logo, (which I've gotten before in the past). It looked like a centipede. Though I did get one cute henna, which was a little umbrella on my finger. On the bright side, it was a learning experience to not pick out any design with straight edges, or that could potentially look like an insect. On the boardwalk we went on rides and had a lot of fun. I love the view of the beach and the whole park you get on some of the higher up rides. Especially when the sun is setting. These amazing pitures were taken by one of my friends, Andrew Elhamalawy (ig: @drewelhamalawy)There's nothing to top off the night like ice cream and singing. That's why we went to The Music Man: The Singing Ice Cream Shoppe, the cabaret themed dessert parlor where you might have to sing and/or dance for your ice-cream. It's a whole lot of fun, especially for a bunch of theater kids. There's something about the shore that I love. The sunsets, the summer breeze, the bike rides, the swings at the boardwalk, the beaches, the endless amount of ice-cream places and little boutiques. It's even more fun when your with your friends and people you love. On Monday, my closest friends and I went to go picnic and watch "Back to the Future" in Bryant Park. If you live anywhere in the New York tri-state area, I suggest making the trip to go because it's so much fun. When we got there though, (at around 5:45ish), the whole place was packed. The movie didn't even start until 8:30/9ish! Even though we had almost no view, we had enough room for all of us, which was really hard to find. All of us brought food, but we ended up bringing mostly desserts (cake pops, cookies, pumpkin muffins, grapes). So we bought chipotle and had a Mexican picnic. The sunset was beautiful behind all the buildings. The night was perfect and city looked gorgeous. Drinking pure water melon juice. Left Joe, right Jade
Sounds gross, taste great. So recently I went to an indoor trampoline park with some friends (all tagged in my picture on instagram) and it was really fun and definitely a workout. Some things I would tell people who've never been to one before and are thinking of going: 1) As fit as you think you may or may not be, you DO NOT need an hour. A half hour would have been plenty. I got so tired and sweaty, it was ridiculous. 2) Stretch before you go. My back was killing me when I came home. 3) Bring water...you'll need it.
P.S. I didn't even mind them forcing me to buy socks, because they're so cool. Recently, (as in last night), I preformed in my community theater show with my best friend Jade. The song was kind of a last minute thing and we just started working on it two weeks ago. I had so much fun doing harmonies and working on it with her! I hope to do more duets in the future! Here's the video: https://youtu.be/fOiry6zZCEk For so long I have wanted to start a blog to talk about fashion, pop culture, music, traveling, and just my everyday funny life. Now that I finally have, I don't even know where to start! So what I'm going to do is ask my followers on my instagram what my first blog post (besides this) should be. Hope to be posting soon!
